A Sacramento State Skill Management Center Job Skill Certification is composed of a series of Skill Certification tests designed specifically to objectively measure an individual's current professional skills and knowledge in the area(s) being tested. Therefore, only those individuals who already possess the experiential skills being tested should take relevant Job Skill Certification(s). Individuals are strongly advised to review the skills and topics being tested before making a commitment to begin a test.

The successful completion of all Skill Certification tests in a Job Category at or above the required skill performance standard score and the purchase of a Skill Certification for each of these tests will result in a Job Skill Certification that validates proficiency in each skill area. While this Certified level of proficiency may have been developed through work or educational experience, successful completion and/or Job Skill Certification provided by these Skill Certifications does not certify an individual's attainment of any degrees, diplomas, or other education-related programs.
